Tools For School 2026

Every child deserves to walk into the classroom feeling confident and ready to learn, but for more families in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, the rising cost of school supplies has become one more hurdle to overcome.


Thanks to the generosity of our community, Tools For School distributed 1,817 backpacks filled with essential school supplies in 2025. As the cost of everyday necessities continues to climb, more local families are turning to the program for support.


Your gift helps ensure students across Harrisonburg and Rockingham County have the tools they need to start the school year prepared, while giving parents one less expense to worry about. Together, we can make sure every child begins the school year with confidence and every family knows our community is standing beside them.
